Who we are
In January of 2006 Aaron Howard came to Bob Marino with an idea of doing a simple commercial spot, that spot evolved into OFNR.
Officially established on September 30th 2006, through Live365.com, Official FN Radio™ started out as a joke.
Many years later, we stand as a trusted, licensed, award- winning, multimedia company, supporting the global, independent music community.
Staffed entirely by volunteers (with several past and present being Connecticut School Of Broadcasting certified broadcasters), experienced in audio, & video production.
Why we do this
We are music fans with too much free time on our hands.
We don’t get paid to play the top 40. We know that bands have entire albums, and in many cases, discographies, and to keep playing that same track over and over is criminal. Combine that with our ever growing global independent music library and you can see why OFNR is special.
We truly love the independent music community around the globe, and because we’re true fans of the scene as a whole, we buy the merch, we rock the shows and we bring it to you with an OFFICIAL brand that you have come to respect.
