OFNR 5 year Bash

Danbury Connecticut, September the 30th 2011. The torrential rain has stopped and the bands are loading into the Heirloom Arts Theatre. Months of preparation, an ass ton of resources, all culminating into an amazing time. The evening started off with Unfiltered, a Danbury based band with comedic styling, instant whit and damn infectious songs! As people began piling in, they were welcomed to Clean Shaven Balls, and I’m a piece of shit, songs that are always crowd favorites. Up next was Not the Kid, a ridiculously talented crew of musicians and music lovers, so much so, Chris Thompson (Shreddage) & Rob Loncto (Lead vox and guitar) also own and operate Chowda House Records, a CT Based Independent Record Labels that have put out countless bands, on cd and stellar vinyls. You know those things you put on a record player… Moving on, NJ/RI based Dead Fish Handshake is up next. Now it was personally my first time seeing them play live, certainly I have listened pretty extensively to the CD. But they threw it down. There were a few technical issues, but that withstanding they certainly had the crowd’s attention.  And made some new friends, and fans here in CT! After rocking with DFH, there’s trouble brewing between FN Dojo and Thursday Night Chaos as they trade friendly banter, Major Chugz all the while promoting the “Fuck the Dojo campaign”,  and just like that, Risk All In Life takes the stage and simply destroys. The Flynn Brother, Tymboski (covered in leeches), Chugz, and Jeremy, throw it down aggressive, brutal, and kickass. Opus of Dead by Wednesday, Brenda of  Continuum, Members of Kayotik, Two Fisted Law, Lightsbane, Stagger and Darkness Descends in attendance.
Now that the crowd is juiced, amped up as the night progress we hit them with some YARDCORE action. Not before presenting a cake to Cristafari and Roosta. It was their birthday show after all. Reggae, Rock, Metal, Positive Vibes. Can you ask for better? When there is talk about cream of the crop, premiere music, Fear Nuttin Band belongs on that list.  High energy, boom blazing performance.

Everyone in attendance was dancing and having an amazing time. Then… a change in the force. A bunch of brutal psychopathic crazy people otherwise known as Thursday Night Chaos, brought the heavy weaponry. Eyes of The Dead.  Fully armed, Eyes of the Dead!!!! Double Bass Set with Junior owning it!  Brian, Matt, Hobbit, like cogs in a machine, like a brutal savage human wrecking machine. Whose Idea was it to give Frank a chainsaw!?. (Tune in this Thursday – October 6th for the chainsaw story) And the place lost it. The foundation began rumbling, the chaos crew were in full fight mode and Eyes did exactly what they were called to do. Finishing Move!

Thanks to all of the sponsors: Mr. Rob’s American Tiger Martial Arts, Fight-Soap, Zipit Designs, Thrust Music, Boomblaze Records, Chowda House Inc. No Sequal Fightware and One Life Clothing. Thanks to the Heirloom for their hospitality, awesome sound, and for being one of those venues that the independent bands need! Where else could you see 6 very different, very amazing bands, for five dollars? For now, this is the Knobber, saying thank you to all the fans, friends, family, supporters, who came and made this a memorable evening! \m/ for a full set of event photos check out our Facebook albums: PART ONE PART TWO
