2011 Artist of the Year – Biting Saints

There weren’t many bands this past year eligible for the prize of OFNR’s Artist of the year, but when we went back through our list of bands who earned artist of the month in 2011, only ONE band stands out above the rest. 

That band;  THE BITING SAINTS


Consisting of Angel Imanuel, Joe Dillinger, Jay Peralta, Ivan Krival, & Robo Mesias, this NYC based metal band made big waves in 2011.

In April, they earned their Artist of the Month nomination from the fans of OFNR. In May, only one month later, Metal Sanaz readers nominated them for best metal band. Talk about making an impact!

Their newest song,  Prayer for a Modern age has been widely accepted by the FN fans who are now chomping at the bit waiting for the next big single, or better yet, a full length album.

In September we finally had the guilty pleasure of seeing The Saints decimate the Trash Bar for SEPTEMBER 2 REMEMBER 





It was then that Angel and the crew were officially inducted into the Chaos army. It was also when we had an opportunity to see a band on the very brink of greatness. Playing venues from the Delancey to the Trash and even destroying Webster Hall, this is a must see band going into 2012. Your face will be shredded off, but more importantly,  your legs will be a permanent state of open. Yes, even if you are a dude! 

Keep an eye and moreso both of your ears on this amazing band of guys, with the talent, ability, and down to earth personalities to make it HUGE!
