On Sep 30, 2006 Official FN Radio was created on Live365.com Since then, OFNR has been featured in the local newspapers, made guest appearances on several media outlets (including, WCCC, Bigbar Radio, DIU TV, & Blogtalkradio.com’s Entrepreneur Show), won the “Why I love Live365 video contest“, hosted and sponsored countless shows in CT, MA, NY, & NJ, and have created several music videos for local and national bands. But, forget all that for just a moment.. what I’d like to talk about, is the definition of success. Many would say that success is strength in numbers… Well, how about 8 certified broadcasters who have not only graced our airwaves, but literally, and figuratively, built this multimedia company from the ground floor? How about thousands of viewers (YOUTUBE), or hundreds of followers (TWITTER)? Perhaps it’s the most important, the hundreds upon hundreds of bands that OFNR has had the pleasure of talking to, working with, and helping along the way. Bands that vouch for us, like Odd Zero, Biting Saint’s, Risk All in Life, World Lost, Locked Together in Hatred, SIC, IKillya, Eyes of The Dead, Dead By Wednesday, Fear Nuttin Band, Infernal Opera, Death Immortal, Discipline X and countless others. Ok, forget that for a second, what about the hate mail? Nothing says success more than haters. What about the imitators? They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I am just a passionate music fan with a lot of extra time on my hands. I am someone who actually gives a fuck about finding great music outside of what mainstream pushes out to the masses. Many would like to do as little work as possible to find new music. So in the big picture? Who am I? I am the facilitator. A conduit for bands, for musicians, for music lovers. I have dedicated the last five years of my life to one thing, showing the world, that real music isn’t dead, you just have to realize that commercial radio, and records label, HAD it right. Once upon a time. They don’t anymore. The world belongs to the underground, because the underground has taken over the internet superhighway! The underground has heart, they give a fuck. For the most part. I’ve learned that too, that not every band, no matter how talented, will take the same path or have the same passion for kicking ass and taking names. In other words, not everyone has the same drive to capture their dream. Me? I been chasing this dream for as long as a I remember. I am humbled and honored to have worked with all the crew of OFNR, PAST & PRESENT! And even more so for the opportunity to interact with all the global bands and fans who trust OFNR to deliver great music to fellow music hungry, rabid, die-hard fans.
